We have termites, or pets. Can termidor used to get rid of termites, without violating the birds?
The companies we have set conditions that we do not need to move the bird up and out of the house. That would be great, but we want to ensure that this product can be used safely.

You need to have your birds out of the house while it will be treated for termites. . . You may not in the house? I doubt it, so they can go on elsewhere for a few days, they are very sensitive to smoke and so on. when they say its safe, ask them for a signed guarantee that they will pay for all veterinary costs or replacement birds, if something should happen. if they hesitate, then are obvioulsy
Never trust any chemicals to birds. Birds have very sensitive airways, and kill what can not cloak their lungs, potentially causing pneumonia. There is the potential for wert.Ich do not even use Febreeze in my house, pet is safe or not, because of the chemicals, the birds can suffocate. Bleach, ammonia, ANY aerosol chemicals, candles, gas, hair spray used, new carpets (the Scots Guards and aerosols in the factories), pesticide-everything as a gas or smoke, can upset the people (if that can be inhaled smell makes you sneeze, gives you a nosebleed, causes nausea or long-term exposure gives us cancer) can kill a bird and can kill within minutes.

When we had our house treated for termites, told me that the company would termidor the birds to kill. We had to use a different method of termite treatment to rid the house of termites. Set the Sentricon stakes in the ground around the house. I was assured that this method was safe for the birds and effectively eliminate the termites. If I were you I would be a second or even third and 4 Opinion obtained.
