What kind of things dogs can eat that we us, humans eat, then?

I know that dogs can not eat chocolate, corn, wheat, grapes, dairy products, and etc. But what can a dog eat that humans eat? I know dogs can eat chicken (w / o bones), apples, but what else?

Its easier to find a list of what they cannot eat. Corn is fine, they just shouldn’t eat it since it has not value to them. Chicken bones are fine if raw. Apple seeds are bad, as are other fruit cores. They can eat virtually all human foods though, just find a list online (there are millions of them) of what they cannot eat.

I think they can eat pretty much anything. My father in law fed his dalmatian mostly vegetables like carrots, cauliflower and brussel sprouts and It Seemed fat and healthy

Dogs can technically eat anything but chocolate. What is good for them is a different topic though. :) My dogs love almost all vegetables for instance, and of course anything meat, yogurt when their Tummies are upset, cheese, all kinds of things. Depends on your dog and his tastes what he’ll eat human food or not. Some would eat anything you put in front of them. Others do not want anything to do with it.

Hello there, just use your own judgment. You are right with “should-nots. Mind you, just like people, dogs differ greatly and what is ones’ ‘like’ another may be allergic to.

Most things humans eat dogs will at least beg for. Meat of any kind, cooked or not, vegetables – grains are not as good for them. If you’re looking at making food for your dog, do more research than just Yahoo! Answers – you’ll get better results.

raw vegetables are good for dogs, like carrots and celery, and the skins of most fruits.

Rice and plain baked chicken is good if your dog has upset stomach from. My dogs love bananas, but I would only give them a small piece. So most dogs love peanut butter, I always dip their medicine in a little to get them to take it.

Some good, healthy “people food” items that dogs can eat are: Plain yogurtFish oil, Flax oilCarrots, broccoli, green peppers, tomatoes, green beans, peas, frozen mixed vegetablesBlueberries, strawberries, melon, applesV8 JuiceCanned sardines, mackerel or salmon cottage cheese , grated cheese chicken rice (wherein the brown rice) Whole grain pasta (Preferably not wheat-based) Try not to have add-diet to make up more than about 20% of your dog’s. The bulk should be a premium kibble unless you’re feeding a tried-and-true home-cooked or raw diet.
