What does it mean if my aquarium water is foggy?

I have a ten gallon aquarium, and the water is foggy, if you like. I have 6 fish in it, and a functioning filter and heater.

You are probably feeding too much, or you have not kept up with the tank water 1/3-1/2 replacement – every few weeks or so – I let myself go recently about four months, but I have a well balanced tank with estblished one 4 “& 2 Pleco aquatic frogs to clean up things there. I also have a red sword tail 3″ & over 10 large neon lights. You should feed them 1-2 times tday & eaten no more than about 3 minutes. Good luck and oh, if you can request a goldfish in a community tank, it amonia Review & Air Conditioning – something about the gold fish:) The “stuff” Hannah is related to tap water “AquaSafe” and the like. removes chlorine, heavy metals and puts “slime” coating for the fish in – uh – Coats? hee-hee

Is it a new tank? It takes a week or so for the water to settle and make themselves clear. If it is an old tank, it may only need a water change. Remember, never completely clean out the tank with soap or you disturb the biotic balance. With aquariums need only remove about 25% of the water and replace every week, and then scrape off the algae with a razor blade. This helps to keep clear with good bacteria to the water. If you remove everything and wash it, it’s like starting from scratch and you can have cloudy water for a while. Good luck.

Your tank water is dirty. You need to change the water to keep your 6 fishies good. Check the filter. It may have been jammed or have broken.

even if it be mist above the water line, just because the water is warmer than ETH air, but if the actual water foggy or cloudy, you might want to make a small water change and make sure that your filter is working properly! could you also the pH value and all other testers you have! (Only to check certain)

You may need it Cleen or whether, if the water from the sink, then it will clear up in about 10 minutes, but even if it from the sink, you have to put drops of this stuff, because depending on the type of fish such as goldfish onthe You need this special stuff to the water, so do not add the fish die? sorry I do not know what is the “stuff”, but if the pet store will know what I mean.

Nothing is perfectly fine to have a little foggyness. If there is a lot to try to change it. But if you leave is change from tap water cause a record of one day to come for all the chlorine if the fish in the tap water directly asked because it is full of chlorine confidence in me. Yeesterday I bought 6 fish and they all died in the accident. And never change the water completely cause the fish used to the old water mill and old temperature, so make sure not to change completely and chlorine. If there is a saltwater tank I can not help you do it.

the charcoal in your filter is badly used-up. Go to Walmart and buy a jar with charcoal for aquariums. Slot of the filter and throw out the old charcoal and replace it with good things. rinse it with clean water and replaced. Tomorrow it should be clear again. They have a flow through filter right? Gravel in the soil?

Whoa! Is this an established tank? If it is brand new and still not run very long, then it is a bacterial Bloom’s, it is completely normal. Leave it alone, it is clear on its own. After about Oh, put four or five weeks, a sample of your water to a local fish shop and have it tested for Sie.6 fish may not sound much, but for example, can receive the more frequent gouramis 4-6 inches, and that is operated a lot for a 10-Gallone.Wenn this tank has been a long time, then you have something to bloom a bacterial cause. Overfeeding, changing filter media, cleaning, there was nothing could. It would be wise to have your water tested again. See if they recommend leaving it alone or if they have a partial water change, do.

Clean your filter and water changes may be in order, change the 1 / 3 of water per week. Check your water chemistry, you are in search of ammonia, nitrate, or very high.

    CLEAN IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you need so you do not clean it, or the water is good! try, purified water

  27. bleedseahawkblue Says:

Which fish do you have and how many of each? Also how long the tank has established? Clouds often set up new tanks. If you do not wash the gravel before it is in the tank, the water for a day or two cloud. Make sure your filter is working well and the cartridges are sauber.Auch if you do not cycle your tank before you bloom your fish, it is a bacterium. This happens if no bacteria to begin, and suddenly much ammonia will begin in the tank, and the bacteria reproduce like crazy, because it to eat as much food for the bacteria (ammonia). If this is the case then change 50% of the water every single day, and get a test kit so that you test for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate. Then you can monitor the levels and stop changing the water every day and once a week once parameter level aus.Wenn your tank is not a new one up (more than two months) it is likely to set an algae bloom. Change 50% of the water and keep the lights off for a few days, and it should go away.

It may have taken too much liquid Purifier (, that one purifies water). . . you simply change your water and redo it. . .
