My mother calls me, as I have a hunch. You can use a lower dose of dog flea drops to cats? Both are adults. The dog weighs about 8 pounds. He is not much bigger than the cat. Any help would be great Best Answer.

Never give a cat not formulated for a dog. Go to the pet store and buy clothes for cats. The cat was very sick

No, only those products meant for cats, cats and dogs at the thought of dogs. Also, do not use OTC flea products on a cat or a dog. They are worthless and even dangerous for your pet. They can cause neurological problems, seizures and death.

No, that would not be wise. Dogs and cats are two different things, and a cat for a little dog could maker her / him deathly ill, even if the dog is small, its still made for a dog, the cat dropps do not give it a bath cuz lick it might give the stuff off and get deathly ill, and (coincidentally my cat friends) to tell her, just go to the pet shop and dog medicines

The best bet would be to call a vet and ask. I know that many of the droplets, which are sold in veterinarians offices are generic can use in terms of what kind of animal they are, but a veterinarian (or even the receptionist at the vet’s office) would know whether the specific type of drops you have is safe for cats, and how much of a dose to give them.

No, you can not. Giving a dog has fleas or ticks medicine, a cat could result in illness or death of the cat. Do not risk it.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Most dogs have flea drops them n chemicals that are toxic to cats, and they can kill! Tell your mother not to use them – if they still are the instructions on the package, they say. If she has already applied for, tell her, bathe the cat in Dawn dishwashing liquid, and take the cat in an emergency room, whether he have any clinical symptoms (salivation, twitching, vomiting, etc.) Most of the shows over the counter flea drops have ingredients that can be toxic to cats, even when properly applied. See your vet for an advantage or frontline. Good Luck!
